Beware VS Be Aware

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

There are many different cases in life where you will run across a sign, most of the time it will say danger, and then it will either say beware, or be aware. But what’s the difference? Is there even one? Are they interchangeable, or is there a specific time and use for each of them.

First off lets look at Beware. When you enter a cave infested with vampires, you will probably see a sign that says, “Beware of Vampires,” which really means something like, “GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, THERE ARE FREAKING VAMPIRES IN THIS CAVE!”

Now lets look at a different scenario. Lets say we have the same vampire infested cave, but the sign says “Be Aware of Vampires.” What this sign would be suggesting is that yes, this cave is filled with vampires, but its ok to enter, just be on your toes in case you spot a vampire.

Using the 2 above examples I will now make a list of when the proper time to use each of them is.

Beware: When there is grave danger, usually implies to turn around, or go back, do not enter if you value your life.

Be aware: When there is a risk involved with something, this lets you know to pay attention to what your doing, because the area you are in is dangerous, but you don’t necessarily have to head back.

Bee, ah! Where?: This would be used when someone screams out, “BEE!” You are alerted that there is a bee, but you don’t know where it is.

Bea wear: This would be referring to clothing by a company called “Bea,” if such a company were to exist, and make clothing.

Bee wear: This would be referring to clothing with bees on it, or by a company called, “Bee,” again if such a company existed and made clothing.

Now you probably have a pretty good sense of when to use each sign or phrase, now get out there and bee-be-bea-a-where-wear-ware!

Insight

insight.JPG

There are many categories in my blog. One is “Insight,” In an insight article we will take a look into things that you might have never taken a second look at. You’re walking through a park, you see a piece of grass lying on the sidewalk and think nothing of it, but what if I told you there was more to that simple blade of grass than what meets the eye? What if I told you that simple blade of grass could change the world? What if I gave you insight about that grass that opens your eyes to a whole new world at the same time as entertaining you? If this is the kind of thing that interests you, then keep an eye out for “insight” posts on my blog, if you don’t think it will interest you, then read the first “Insight” post, and I will see if I can change your mind.

Welcome to “State of Mind,” my new blog. The contents of this blog will include everything you need to fight the disease currently know as “Boredom.” Boredom is running strong, and we must put it’s antics to rest. I will attempt to do this by posting many different types of things, which will be broken down into different categories, whether it be stories, insight, current events, or funny or cleaver raps and poems. Boredom comes in many forms and I will try to post something for everyone, so check back everyday, and let me know what you would like to see. I am open to feedback and requests. And may your boredom be cured!
