Boredom Poem
I wake up in the morning and eat my food
I wanna take a shower so I get nude
I put on some new cloths and comb my hair
I wanna go do something, but when and where?
I call up some friends but no one is home
Everyone is busy and I’m all alone
Maybe I will try calling their cell phone
One friend answers, but it’s a milestone
Its his moms birthday and he can’t clone
Can’t satisfy both, so he must postpone
Maybe next time, hopefully I’ll condone
Guess I was right, I’m all alone…
Now what can I do all by myself
I look around on my bookshelf
But then I realize I don’t read
Books can never fulfill my need
Back to square one is where I’m at
I know I sound kinda like a brat
Don’t wanna just watch TV, then I’ll get fat
But with no other choice, on my couch I sat.
Watching TV is what I’m doing
My favorite movie, I am queuing
In a few minutes it’s what I’ll be viewing.
But another day is what I’m ruining.
Tomorrow is another day
Maybe my friends won’t be away
The possibilities, what a wide array
We could even go to the buffet
Drive anywhere on the freeway
Say anything that we dare say
Go play some music and be a DJ
Go get some ice cream or a parfait
Or yet again the message, they’ll relay
I’m too busy, today’s my mom’s birthday…
