Boggling the Mind…

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Food, how does it work? How can putting something in your mouth and swallowing it give you energy? What really divides edible from non-edible? What did cavemen, back in the olden times eat? Before fire was invented, how did they survive? How did they no that the hunger pain in their caveman stomachs would be resolved by eating plants or animals? When you think about it, it is amazing that a society can in fact exist. It is also amazing how quickly we are advancing. Within the last 100 years, we have became more technologically advance, than in the last 2000 years. When you take a step back, and look at the world, and our society, it really boggles the mind, now take a step back and think, you might enjoy where your mind takes you.

News

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Remember that old saying? “No news, is good news.” And there was always the debate over whether it meant that all news was bad, or that hearing nothing was good, which essentially meant the same thing. Remember back near the start of my blog how I showed the difference between Beware, and Be Aware? Well this post is going to be much like that, I will now break down the saying, “No news, is good news.”

No news, is good news-

This is basically saying, no news = good news, the lack of news, is good news in itself.

No news is good news-

This is saying that no news is ever good, all news is bad, which is essentially saying the same as the above statement, just worded differently.

Know news, is good news-

This is saying that if you know the news, then the news you know is good.

No news, is good knews-

This is saying that news does not exist that is good, if you knew about it, therefore news you knew about can not be good.
Know news, is good knews-

This is saying that news that you know is good to knew, in other words, whatever news is good to know now, would have been good to have known.

Know new’s is good knews-

This is the equivalent of know news is is good knews, and that just doesn’t make any sense, if someone says this to you, it means they are uneducated, and need to seek help immediately.

Christmas Day

Remember being a child, hardly being able to sleep at night, always trying to stay awake to look for Santa, getting up at 4 in the morning  and waking up your entire family,  being so excited for Christmas day.  Then one Christmas day, you go to open your last gift, and you think it is what you have been wanting, and it looks about the same size, but then when you open it, it ends up being something you didn’t want. You then seize to believe in Santa clause. This seems to be what happens with most people. Christmas is an incredibly stressful time of year, because you have to make sure that you get your family what they wanted, and you feel bad if you don’t. Remember, everything doesn’t always work out as planned, but it’s really the thought that counts, and it will take you a long time to reilize this, but it is true. Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays

Today I would like to take a small break from posting insight on things, as I have been doing, and I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and wish you happy holidays. I hope you all have a fun time, and get a little break from work and or school. I will probably still make a post tomorrow, but it will probably have to do with Christmas, and not one of the topics I planned on talking about, but until then, happy holidays, and I wish you the best end of the year you can have, from me to all of you!

Home

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Home, what makes a place home? Is it the location? The things there? The people there? Where you sleep at night? Where you keep your things? How long you have been there? Where you spend your time the most? It really depends on how you look at life, everyone’s answer could be different. Most people would say that it is where they live, but I think that home doesn’t have to be where you live, I think it is really where ever you feel safe, secure, and the place you consider to be your home, has a certain feel to it, like, ah… It’s so good to be home.

Music

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Music is an amazing thing, it seems any sounds can be combined in order to create it, and yet only very specific sounds can be considered by music. The line between what is music and what is not is a very arbitrarily drawn one. You really can not say to someone, that isn’t music, because really, any sound can be considered to be music, it all depends how you look at it, and who is doing the looking. Music is like life, who are you to judge whether someone is leading a good life or not, as long as they are happy, that’s what matters, the same goes for music, who are you to decide if it is “REAL” music or not?

Cameras

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Cameras are very interesting devices. They somehow manage to capture what they see and show them to you all over again. In today’s society, it doesn’t seem like much, but when you really think about it, it seems absolutely amazing. How does such a small device create images, and when you think about it, how does any screen really show you an image. The technical answer is many, many tiny pixels make up the image you see, but when you think of how many there really are, it’s kind of amazing, and seems almost impossible, and years ago, it was.

Life

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Life, what is life, why does life happen, what are you supposed to do, why are you here, what is your purpose, what are you going to do with your life, will you make a difference in someone else’s life, what is the meaning of life, all these questions come to mind when I think of life, looking at life as a whole can be very simple, but when you take a closer look it is astonishing, and it’s complexity is amazing. What is the meaning of life, well the real question is: What is your meaning of life, because only you can know.

Work

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

Work is something that will eventually consume your life. Once you get out of school, and move out on your own, you basically have to get a job, unless of course you have very rich relatives willing to pay for all of your expenses, but that is a rare circumstance. It is very important to learn the value of a dollar, but work can really be a pain. But I guess as long as you are earning money, you might get to enjoy some of the fruits of your labor. The best time to work, is when your in school, because then you can spend the money on what ever you want, 0 expenses is the best time of your life, enjoy it while you can.

School

Published by throughmyeyes under Insight Edit This

School. Everyone dreads waking up early in the morning to get hassled by teachers, then having to study all this material you aren’t ever going to use again in your life. But maybe the point of school is to learn how to learn, and not to just learn. Maybe the point of school isn’t just to get a good job, but to learn valuable skills in life that you might otherwise not have. If you know home schooled kids, they just don’t quite act the same as someone who goes to a real school. Maybe there are some skills you learn at school, that one day you will look back on and be glad you learned.
