The End: Finale of State of Mind

end.jpg

It has been a long, fun ride, writing this blog every day. I made some interesting posts, some funny and creative poems and raps, some great insight on the world, but my time is done. This will be my 61st  post on this blog (62nd if you count the extra tab) and I would like to hereby announce, the end of my blog. Now some of you may cry, but the quest to stop boredom is not over yet. I will continue to write my book, and every once in awhile I will put an insert from my book here, the fight against boredom continues on, but now, you must take what you have learned, and try to help fight boredom on your own battlefield. I would like to end the blog in a bang, with this farewell poem.

All good things will eventually come to an end,
the broken friendships you wish you could mend,
if only, if only, you could get back your friend,
so much help along the way they could lend.

But the journey was long, and friends were lost,
you survived the journey but you paid the cost,
People you thought would always be there are gone,
what matters are those who stay with you till dawn.

In with the new and out with the old,
the feeling without them is oh so cold,
if only I could once again hold,
but all good things must come to an end.

So I bid you farewell, hope our paths once again cross,
Life without you is going to be a terrible loss,
but we all must move on,
your best friend is gone,
I hope you stay with me till dawn.

This blog has been alot of fun, and if you would like to make money off of blogging also, continue the fight for boredom with your very own blog, make an account here: ( Your referrals will help support my book.)

I wish you all the best, and perhaps you will hear more from me again someday, but until then, check back every once in awhile, I may have a change of heart, and I may once again flood you with insight on the world, and cure your boredom again.

Your Friend,

Through My Eyes

This Blog’s Future

You may have been wondering why I haven’t been posting on this blog, (as if that is a huge concern in your life) the reason I have not been posting is because I was debating what direction, if any, I would take this blog. I have decided, that for the next 2 weeks or so, I would change the format to one insight per day. These new “Insight” posts are going to be somewhat different, and in some cases will be more or less interesting. I will be picking completely random topics and writing about them. Ok, so what’s the difference from what you usually do? I mean you write about pretty random topics as it is? So what is the big difference? These are probably a few questions coming to your mind right now. To answer them, the main difference between the “old Insight” posts, and the “New” ones, is that the old ones always had some sort of moral, or link to real life, which might have changed your view about it. For the next 2 weeks, that might not always be true. I am going to focus on dramatizing everyday items about pointing out annoying or funny things you might not have noticed. Hopefully it will be as entertaining or more entertaining as before. The next 15 posts will be a trial, if it goes well, I may continue it. So here are some categories you may expect, and by, “may expect” I mean I will be posting about these in this order.

-Calculators
-Books
-Stories
-School
-Work
-Life
-Cameras
-Music
-Home
-News
-Food
-Style
-Light
-Darkness
-Finale?

Hope you enjoy the next 15 posts.

The Cure for Boredom

I recently came up with the idea that it might help me cure my boredom, by telling other how to cure their own. I have decided to write a book (or attempt to do so) in the time where I can’t think of anything else to do, and am bored. The book will have much of the same style as some of this blog, and will be entitled, “The Cure for Boredom.” It will pretty much be random blurbs and insight, organized into sections, in which will attempt to make your life more enjoyable, and give you a look at my life, and some interesting aspects of it. I will probably post a few sections of the book here, and I will probably use a few sections I have posted here in the book, either way, I’ll keep you posted.

Controller or Controlled?

Controller:

You like to have your way, you plan things out, and boss people around, when ever there is an event, you host it, you are always head of the planning committee. When someone asks you what to do, you jump right in and tell them. You hate random things, or things involving chance. Whenever you drive somewhere, you perfer to be the driver.

Controlled:

You get told what to do constantly. You listen to what people tell you to do. You don’t have strong opinions. You tend to follow trends and styles. You fall into peer pressure. You would rather go to an event than host it. You don’t care who drives. You have no real picture in mind when you do things, and if you do, you don’t push for it.

So which are you? Are you being controlled? Or are you a Controller?

Inconsistency…

cheesehead.JPG

I would like to apologize for my inconsistency of posts. I have not been posting as much as I would like, and I have been putting off updating this blog. I have been sick, and had a lot of work recently, and for a few days it has almost been a chore to keep this site up. I have even had to put off writing the story I announced I would be writing. I plan from here on out to try to make it my top propriety each day to make a post on this blog, and I hope you continue to read and comment my blog. Thanks for the support, and I hope that my blog can save you from your boredom before it is too late. Together, we can stop boredom in it’s tracks.

Obama

Thats Right, Barack Obama is our next president. Some of you are cheering with joy, others are crying. I must say I am very pleased. I have been rooting for Obama all along. He isn’t perfect, but he is what I feel America needs in a president.

Just some statistics of race that voted for Obama:

61% white

21% african american

11% hispanic

I am glad to see that Race did not play too large of a role in this election. For all you Democrats and Obama supporters, we finally got him in! Congratulations to President Barack Obama!

How to Make a Successful Blog

success.JPG

In order to make a successful blog, you must be consistent. You must produce new, cleaver content everyday, and explain everything in a mind bogglingly amazing way. Anyone can type about their day, but a good blog will talk about things that really matter, or show you that things you don’t think matter really do. A good blog will keep you entertained, you won’t skim the posts while reading, and your mind will start to explode from the cleaver, funny, and entertaining posts that are made. Another key to success is the look. You should add pictures, or title banners, and make the layout of your blog look good. Lastly, (but most importantly) advertising, you must advertise your blog to everyone, and if it is truly good, they will show their friends, leading you to success.

Body Language: How To Detect Lies

bl2.JPG

Body language, a lost art which can be used to determine the intent and emotions of an individual. Body language can be used to tell many things, one of which being lies. Today I will explain how to tell if someone is deceitful, through body language. Remember, ignorance can be bliss, this is knowledge that some people would rather not have.

The Body Language of a Lier:

-Limited or stiff physical expression with little to no movement, especially with the arms, hands, or legs.

-Avoidance of eye contact.

-Hands touching or scratching their face, mouth, neck, etc.

-Display of emotion is off, resulting in a delayed reaction, which last longer than it would normally, then stops suddenly.

-Timing of gestures, emotions, or expressions will not match up with words being spoken.

-Gestures, emotions, or expressions will not match the tone of what is said.

-Facial expressions will be limited to mouth movements, instead of entire facial expressions.

-Tends to face away from person which they are deceiving.

-Tends to unconsciously place objects between themselves and the person which they are deceiving.

Verbal Context, and Verbal Interaction of a Guilty Person:

-Someone who is guilty will get defensive, where as someone who is innocent will go on the offensive.

-Tend to use complete sentences, or re-state the question in which they were asked, in their answer.

-Tend to avoid the question, or answer indirectly in order to avoid lying.

-Appear to be uncomfortable during long pauses or breaks in conversation.

Tricks and Tips About Spotting a Lier:

-If you think someone is lying, then quickly change the subject, if they follow along with it, then they were probably lying. If they were telling the truth they would probably call you on it, and try to continue the previous conversation.

-A lier will rarely touch their chest with their hand.

-If they are making eye contact they are probably not lying, but this is a fairly well known fact, so some lier’s will attempt to make eye contact in order to convince you that they are not lying. If they laugh, or smile while doing so, at first you might think they are lying, but it can actually mean the opposite is true. Sometimes an honest person will laugh out of surprise that you do not believe them. Depending on the person, it is for you to judge whether the laugh seemed like, “Haha, I can’t keep a straight face while lying,” or “Haha, I can’t believe that they don’t believe me.”

Note:

-Just because someone shows one or more of the following signs does not mean they are deceiving you, you must compare their reactions to their normal reactions they make in a conversation. If someone seems to be out of their body, or unattached to you, or thinking deeply while you talk, it is likely they are either deceiving you, or have something on their mind, that they don’t necessarily want to talk about.

Now you know the basics about Body Expressions, and how to detect lies. Perhaps I will make another post about body language in the future.

Body Language: Insight

language.JPG

Sometimes actions speak louder than words, especially when no one is actually talking. Body language is a great way to try to get an idea of what your subject is thinking. Say you just told your friend some bad news, and they seem to be taking it okay, well, that doesn’t mean they are actually okay, you can study their body language in order to see what they actually feel like, or what they are actually thinking. Body language is probably one of the hardest languages to use, because it is all based on an average, meaning that not everyone’s body language will mean the same thing, one person bobbing their head while they talk could mean something entirely different than another person. Also being able to read body language takes a lot of skill, and some would consider it a gift. One thing about body language, is try not to get too wrapped up in it, because you will find yourself over analyzing everything that someone is doing, when in reality their body language is meaningless. Here are some different types of body language:

In my next post, I will go over the body language of a lier, but remember, once you read it, you will be able to tell if people are lying, and sometimes ignorance is bliss.
